Korean daily life expressions list

Here are Korean some useful expressions for daily life, among friends and college. 

 

1. Long time no see. 오랫만이야. 

오랫만이야. basically means It's been longtime-period. You can say to friends, however if you want to speak to elder persons, you have to say. 오랫만입니다. -이야 is much casual than -입니다. 

  • 오랫만이야 (casual way of expressions) : Olaetmaniya
  • cf) 오랫만입니다. (polite way of expressions) : Olaetmanibnida

 

2. What is your plan tomorrow? 내일 뭐 할 계획이니?

You can ask to friends with an expression, 내일 뭐 할 계획이니? If you want to see words by words, you can refer below : 

  • 내일 tomorrow : naeil
  • 뭐 muo : what
  • 할 hal : will do
  • 계획 gyehuaek : plan
  • 이니? ini? : ? in casual way

 

3. What did you do today? : 오늘 뭐 했니?

If you want to ask what happened today to your friends, or college, you can ask this way. 오늘 뭐 했니? . 했니? means did do? in casual way. 오늘 is today in Korean language. 

  • 오늘 뭐 했니 oneul muo haet ni? 

 

4. Good night . 잘 자.

Before going to sleep, you can say to your friends 잘 자. 잘 means well. And 자. means sleep. You can pronounce this sentence as below : 

  • 잘 자 Jal ja

 

5. See you soon. 또 만나.

When you say bye to friends, you can say 또 만나. 또 means again . 만나 means meet. 

  • 또 만나. tto manna.
